Emmanuel's Closet

Emmanuel Baptist Church in Humboldt invites the community to its free "Emmanuel's Closet" giveaway event on Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at 1101 N. 22nd Avenue in Humboldt.

Available items will include clothing for children, women, and men, along with household goods, kitchen items, books, toys, linens, and more.

The event is open to everyone. Organizers simply encourage attendees to take what they need.

“Our goal is simple: to help people and show them they are welcome and loved,” Fry said. “This ministry allows our church family to put faith into action and serve our community in a practical way.”

The outreach is inspired by scriptures such as Galatians 6:2, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
